Mayor AC Wharton Speaks to MSC on Thursday, Dec. 3rd

I hope you each had a great Thanksgiving. We have big MSC news which I hope you will share with your e-mail lists, your neighbors, and business colleagues over this weekend so they can make plans to attend our MSC meeting this coming Thursday, Dec. 3, at HopeWorks (basement of Midtown Church of Christ, 1930 Union, just west of Channel 5).

Mayor AC Wharton has agreed to come to our December meeting and share his vision for neighborhood safety. He is very interested in seeing neighborhood groups get organized and has heard about MSC. Thanks to Beth Flanagan of the Memphis Medical Center Mayor Wharton has heard about our work and accepted our invitation. We will follow our format of 5:30-6:00 with refreshments and networking followed by the business meeting from 6:00-7:00 (still a guaranteed ending time of 7:00!). Col. Garrett will give his "Crime Stats and Successes" report followed by the Mayor's talk with hopefully time for questions.

HopeWorks is generously setting up their entire space for this exciting presentation so there will be approximately 150 seats. I encourage everyone to plan to get there early as we think this will be a big draw. Please share this information with your e-mail lists, your neighbors, and your business colleagues.

"Be part of the solution. Help keep Midtown a safe place to live and work."

Best,

Peggy Williamson
Midtown Security Community Chair
